Have you ever been in an accident that wasn’t your fault? If you have then you may have a personal injury claim.

But what types of personal injury claims are there and does your accident actually count?

There are several different types of personal injury claim and it could get slightly confusing.

In this article, we’ll talk about the five different types of personal injury claim that you can file.

What Are The Five Different Personal Injury Claim Types?

There are several types of personal injury claim that can be filed. These include:

  • Medical malpractice
  • Workplace accident
  • Motor Vehicle accident
  • Wrongful death
  • Premises liability

In order to file a claim for any of these types, you’ll need the assistance of an attorney such Gibson Hill Personal Injury. Lets explore all of these different injury types.

Medical Malpractice

There will be occasions where the negligence of a healthcare professional such as a doctor or a nurse causes injury. In these instances, it may be possible that you have a claim for medical malpractice.

There are a number of different types of medical malpractice. These include:

  • Surgical errors
  • Misdiagnosis
  • Errors when prescribing medication
  • Pharmacy errors
  • Injuries during birth
  • Improper treatment
  • Failure to diagnose a major health condition

Because of the nature of this type of case, you will need to get the assistance of a specialist lawyer who is experienced in handling medical malpractice claims.

Workplace Accident

If you were injured in an accident in the workplace, then you may be given benefits that will help you while you are injured.

The regulations that surround workplace accidents will vary depending on where you live, and in some cases it may be possible to file a claim.

Find out from your local attorney what the laws are in your area.

Motor Vehicle Accident

Each year, millions of people are injured as a result of an automobile accident. This will include drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

If you were involved in any type of motor vehicle accide that was not your fault, then you may well be able to claim compensation for the injuries that you sustained.

Wrongful Death

A wrongful deal suit is a type of lawsuit which can be filed in the event of someone being killed due to another person’s carelessness or negligence. This could be as a result of medical malpractice, an automobile accident, through the use of a dangerous or defective product, or in a workplace injury such as on a construction site.

Premises Liability

When an accident is caused because of the poor or dangerous condition of someone else’s land, then this is called premises liability.

This type of claim would appy to any commercial properties such as stores,  restaurants, or offices, but it will also apply to private property such as a friends home.

The claim may also relate to the way that you have been injured. For instance, if a floor is uneven or there is a broken handrail which causes you to fall.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
