Ever felt like your bedroom is a little outdated? Want to take better care of it and make it a lot more comfortable and peaceful to sleep in? If so, then you may be due for a little bedroom renovation. Unfortunately, a full-scale remodel can be expensive and it’s also time-consuming. This means you’ll be spending a surprising amount of time on DIY projects, or you might need to spend a lot of money hiring a contractor.
So if you’re looking to upgrade your bedroom to the next level on a budget and with less time investment, then you could try a little weekend project. To help you out, here are a couple of great weekend project ideas to help you upgrade your bedroom to the next level.

Try a different color scheme
Colors can make a huge difference to the way we feel in our bedrooms. If you ever feel like your bedroom makes you feel a little sad or solemn, then you may want to try to swap to some more upbeat colors. If you think that your bedroom is loud and a bit too eye-catching, then try some muted colors to create a more relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.
Give your windows a much-needed upgrade
Windows are a surprisingly important part of our home that we rarely pay attention to. There are loads of different interior window treatments that can help you keep the sun out or even let it in if you prefer. Windows can also be subject to moisture damage if they’re made from wood, so we’d highly recommend that you inspect both the inside and outside of your bedroom windows (assuming you have a way to do so safely) to see if there is any damage to it. If there is, a full upgrade can be a fantastic change to your bedroom.
Replace the wallpaper in your bedroom
Wallpaper can be just as impactful as the colors you choose. Wallpaper styles have come a long way since the early 2000s and there are just so many different choices to pick from. You can really be true to your personal style and preferences by picking out a unique wallpaper to use for your bedroom. We suggest browsing some kind of local store that offers wallpaper, but you can also try online blogs, stores, and interior design communities to look for ideas.
Declutter your bedroom and clean out the junk
Lastly, a weekend project that we’d highly recommend is decluttering your bedroom. Bedrooms usually don’t see much activity outside of just sleeping so there’s not much of a reason to declutter it. However, there are certain cases where your bedroom could get cluttered from random clothes piling up or your wardrobe going out of control because you buy a lot of clothes. We suggest doing a brief bedroom declutter every month to keep it spotless. The less clutter you see, the more relaxed and comfortable you’ll be when you go to bed at night.
