Saving money is something that all of us should be able to do. There’s always a possibility to save money when earning an income. And when you’re struggling financially, every last dollar can help. With that in mind, here are some tips to save money for when you’re struggling.

Budget Your Money Better

Budgeting your money is important, and it’s one thing that you could probably work on, even if you’ve already got yourself a budget. If you haven’t, then this is where you’re going wrong. Track all your income and expenditures on an easy-to-read sheet as this is going to be helpful in asserting where your money is going and how much you have to work with.

Being able to see how much you are spending and how much you can save are two things that you might not have seen before when looking at your online banking or statements. It’s not until you lay it all out to see in front of you that you realize you may be overspending, or perhaps there’s a charge you’re not familiar with or forget to cancel. It’s important to take the steps to manage your money better, and everyone is able to put together a budget based on the household’s income.

Look At Your Mortgage

Your mortgage is something that is essential because it helps pays towards your home. However, there are options out there where you can possibly look to remortgage the home to get a better deal or to reduce the amount that you pay back each month. It might be a temporary change while you’re trying to get back on your feet, but it can prove to be very helpful regardless. You can check out MortgageCalculator.Org which can give you a rundown of what you might be able to afford if you were going to move or look at another mortgage deal.

Switch Utility Providers

Your utility providers are an option that you might want to look at when it comes to saving money. There are always new deals on offer from other companies that are looking to gain new customers, and they’ll offer reduced rates because of it. It’s something that’s worth looking at as it might be a better deal than the one you have now. Look at what offers are out there and switch to any utility providers that can offer a better service.

Cut Down On Luxuries

Luxuries are just that – a luxury. And with that being said, it’s important to cut down where you can. Look at what you might be spending beyond your bills and food. Anything beyond this, perhaps excluding your phone bill, is a luxury. The more of the luxuries you can cut, the sooner you can get past the struggling stage and back to enjoying the little luxuries you give yourself in life.

Saving money for when you’re struggling is important, and so it’s worth using these tips to help you save money where you can.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
