Tips On Finding The Perfect Home For You

Is there really such thing as the ‘perfect home?’ Probably not, although it should be possible to find something that closely matches your dream ideal.

So, whether you’re currently saving up for your first home, or looking to take a further step up the property ladder, here are some tips to help you find the perfect (or almost perfect) home for you.

#1: Know how much you can afford

This is important, because if you don’t assess your finances before buying a property, you might end up with a house that costs you more than you expected down the line. There are all kinds of hidden expenses to consider, such as property tax and building insurance, which might vary in cost depending on the home you buy. And then there are maintenance issues to consider if you accidentally buy a house that’s a bit of a money pit. So, work out your finances in advance, factor in those hidden costs, and then buy within your means so you don’t have to struggle later.

#2: Visualize your perfect home

What is your perfect home? Visualize what it might be, and make a checklist of the things that matter to you. How many rooms does it have? Does it have a garden? What style of architecture does it possess? Is it near your place of work? When you know what you want, you will be able to keep your ideals in mind when you’re searching for a property. You will be able to use the services of such firms as Camijoneshomes.com too, as they can help you to narrow down your search according to your personal specifications.

#3: Think of the future

When looking at properties, don’t only think in the short term. What might be the perfect home now might not be the perfect home in the future, so think about your long-term plans. Will you be looking to add to your family? If so, you might want an extra bedroom. Will you be starting a home-based business? If so, you might want an extra room to use as your office space. These are just a couple of things that might need to be factored into your search but consider your own future, and the way that you will want your new house to accommodate your needs.

#4: Get to know the neighborhood

You might find the perfect home, but it will quickly become less than perfect if the neighborhood doesn’t suit your needs. If your child’s school is two bus rides away, or if your workplace isn’t commutable, you might regret moving into the property. There could be a high crime rate in the area too, and that is never going to be ideal. You should also look out for the telltale signs of a bad neighbor, such as loud music coming from their property, or an unkempt garden littered with debris. So, walk around the neighborhood you are considering, use these online tools to help you research the neighborhood, and be alert to any potential troubles from the people living in the area.

Perfection is always hard to attain but if you use these suggestions, you should find something that suits some or all of your needs. We wish you success, whenever you decide to move.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
