I am a so-so seamstress.
That means my skills are pretty elementary and I struggle to find time to do much sewing.
But I love and enjoy it!
I had a mother-in-law who sewed wedding dresses for people. She had real talent and was an artist.
I can sew a few lines, have made a few quilts and sew some for art journaling. Nothing fancy, put completely enjoyable!
With the cooler months coming, is it time for you to think about taking up this enjoyable hobby?
Today, a good sewing machine can be had for a relatively low price.
Here are some options to get you started:

Sewing Storage
With sewing comes stuff! Lovely fabric is only a part of the picture. You’ll need good scissors, needles, threaders, pins, and more. And, of course, you’ll need a place to keep it all organized. Here are some ideas.
Hi Christine – I have a Brother sewing machine that I use mainly for alterations and mending. Thanks for sharing your suggestions, but please be mindful of the MLSTL guidelines of not sharing review posts on the link up.
My mother was a fabulous seamstress. I didn’t take the opportunity to learn from her. I had sewing in school and hated it. I can sew a button on, and hem something but that is it. I don’t have a lot of interest in taking it up now, but sometimes I wish I could do more.
