My Ebates Adventure!

I’m not cheap. I’m frugal.

Having survived the adventure of raising 4 kids on one income (mostly), I learned a few tricks along the way.  With my kids mostly grown, I continue to learn and explore!  I want to keep the savings I have struggled to put together as long as I can – make it last long into my dotage.

So I continue to be frugal.  Ebates is a fun, easy new frugal find for me. Let me tell you about it.

Ebates adventure

Here’s the deal.  If you order anything online, you can earn rebates on it. You have to take the initial step of logging into Ebates, but then you simply shop as usual.

Go to ebates.com to open an account.    It’s easy and free.

Next, do your shopping online as usual. In fact, you may want to increase it!

Here is one of my most recent adventures. I go through a LOT of printer ink.

I log on to ebates.com and sign in.

In the search bar, I type in Office Depot.

I get a message that says it’s all good and then I’m automatically directed to Office Depot and shop as usual.

For Office Depot, I usually buy and purchase online, then go to the store to pick up the order.

For ONE order of printer ink, I received this check in the mail.

I’m not a big shopper so I like the idea of ordering online.  When you order online, then pick up in the store, you save shipping charges AND get Ebates!

Ebates  aren’t limited to obscure stores, although they have some of those as well.

O the places you can shop!  Some you might frequent are:

  • Amazon – yes, Amazon does Ebates!
  • Wal Mart – they have announced a new service where you can order GROCERIES online, collect the rebate, and pick it up at the store
  • Petco – my animals eat that pricey grain-free food, so when I order online and pick up, I get rebates
  • Groupon – when you’re going for something fun
  • Diapers – man, am I glad I don’t have to but these ….
  • Ebay – yes!

Any many, many more.  Check out their list of vendors. You’ll be excited to consider the possibilities.

(In fact, I order my bras online.  Too much information, TMI, I know!)

Here’s the best rationale for using this shopping method for your regular stuff:

  1. You’re online anyway
  2. Buying specific products online prevents browsing and impulse purchases
  3. You get rebates!

Ebates has a referral deal going on now until March 31, 2017.  If you join through my link, I get a referral fee and you get $10.

You have nothing to lose and something to gain – rebates!  Plus you’ll also be contributing to the expenses involved in running this website.

Sign up today and give it a go!

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
