How to select a coffee maker.
There are many different coffee makers on the market today. Do you understand what they can do with your favorite coffee? It might not be long before the coffee maker will bring you the fresh brewed coffee while you sit at the table talking to friends. Mr. Coffee may soon be Mr. Robot Coffee!
The French Press and the stovetop espresso coffee makers are a very popular filter machine. There are thermal carafe coffee makers, glass carafe coffee makers and industrial sizes that brew two pots at the same time. There are three different kinds of espresso machines to choose from if you’re into espresso. These three espresso makers are Pump, piston or steam. Then the coffee maker that makes you one cup of coffee at a time.
What do you want your coffee maker to do?
The complicated issue is the decision on what you want your coffee maker to do. Do you want to have a preset timer that makes your coffee for you and its ready when you get up? Or what about a pause option that while the maker is brewing you can pull the pot out to fill up a cup before its done brewing?
Do you want to want to buy a grinder to grind your own beans?
If yes why not purchase a coffee maker that has a coffee grinder built right in. Do you want a coffee maker that you can program the correct amount of ground coffee to add to the amount of water you choose? You can even buy a coffee maker that you can choose the strength of coffee to brew. Which coffee maker do you want one with a permanent coffee filter built right in or one you have to use a messy paper filter? So, there is a multitude of question you must ask yourself and answer to determine the correct coffee maker that’s right for you.
Some additional questions you might consider are do you prefer a dark roast, light roast or medium roast or maybe an Espresso or Italian roast? Do you want to roast your own beans? Home coffee roasters can easily be purchased along with fresh green coffee beans so you can roast your own beans. So, figure out how much control you want with the taste of your cup of coffee then you will know what coffee maker to buy to satisfy your needs.

I am a die hard Keurig gal. I have a large one at home and a small one at my office.
