If you’re a solopreneur and you’re looking to make the most of your business and its growth potential, you definitely can’t afford to overlook your efficiency levels. The better you get at performing from day to day in an efficient manner and cutting out the unnecessary wasting of resources, the sooner your business will make it big. With that in mind, make the most of the tips for solo business owner efficiency outlined below.

Streamline Communication

Streamlining the way in which you approach communication relating to your business is something that’ll be very important. You definitely don’t want to be spending half of your working day answering emails or following up on missed calls. So find the approach to dealing with these administrative tasks that’s going to work for you and free up as much of your free time as possible.

Make the Most of Outsourcing Options

It’s definitely a good idea to consider outsourcing certain tasks relating to your business. As a solopreneur, you simply don’t have the hours in the day to take care of everything. And if you can’t or don’t want to hire staff members just yet, you can outsource certain tasks in an affordable way and free up more of your time. You can then focus your attention on other tasks.

Set Up a Way to Take Payments on the Go

If you run the kind business that’s always on the go and making sales in different places and locations, you definitely need to think about how you’re going to take payments in an efficient and flexible manner. There are lots of payment processing options out there, so do your research and find a way to take payments on the go or in the way that’ll suit you best.

Create a Solid Schedule

It’s definitely important to have a good schedule for your working day in place. If you’re not on top of your schedule and you’re constantly falling behind, you’re never going to work as efficiently as you’d like to. So be sure to take the time to put a solid schedule in place that you feel you can stick to on a consistent basis.

Don’t Waste Energy Multitasking

Finally, you should try to avoid the trap of multitasking because it tends to be a false economy. Many people think that they’re saving time and working efficiently by constantly multitasking, but that’s not usually the case. People tend to waste time and perform tasks less efficiently when they try to do multiple things at the same time. Keep things simple and instead try to focus on doing one thing at the time to the best of your abilities.

Running a business by yourself is never easier and it doesn’t get much easier no matter how long you’ve been doing it either. But with the right approach, you can find a way of doing business that works for you. Let the tips above help you with that if you’ve been having trouble with efficiency recently.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
