Giving Your Loved One A Perfect Place to Rest

Buying a coffin is something no one wants to think about. However, when you lose a loved one it is something that you need to do. You should give a lot of consideration to the coffin you purchase. You want to make sure you select the right one for the person you are saying goodbye to. Keeping that in mind, in this post we are going to evaluate the various different factors you must consider when searching for the right coffin.

Price

Price is a pivotal factor to take into consideration. Of course thinking about money seems wrong when you are laying someone you love to rest. However, you do need to be realistic and think about the price. After all, it is highly unlikely that the person would have wanted you to put yourself in financial difficulty to buy their coffin. If you search around on the Internet you will be able to get a good idea for the different prices that are out there. There are decorated eco coffins to suit all budgets. Plus, people like Matt Manske can help if you cannot afford to pay for a funeral. Nevertheless, it is vital that you consider all of the other points that are going to be mentioned in this post as well, so that you can be certain of quality.

Size

The size of the coffin is also an important consideration, as you will want to ensure that the person can be laid to rest comfortably. Generally, most coffins are between 24 and 27 inches in width. However you can find bigger coffins than this if necessary.

Personalization

Aside from the points that have already been mentioned, you may want to add a personalised decoration to the coffin, something that is special to the person that has passed away. You could opt to have a painting or an engraving. This could be anything from a love heart, to a special quote, to a memorable date. This is a beautiful way of making the coffin special to the person you are saying goodbye to. It’s a touching sentiment that more and more people are going for.

Color

Color is another vital area of consideration. Traditionally, most people opt for a dark and conservative color, such as black or navy. Nevertheless, there are certainly no rules when it comes to the color you should have. When children pass away a lot of parents opt for a baby blue or baby pink coffin. A lot of people also choose the favourite color of the deceased. Try and think about what the person would like the most.

Supplier

Last but not least, it is important to choose the coffin supplier with a great amount of care. This will give you the best chance of benefiting from a high quality coffin. Research the company in question and read reviews that have been left by previous customers.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
