Most of us most certainly would say that we want to do the best things possible in order to take care of our health. Of course, there are plenty of challenges that can come up when it comes to figuring out the best possible way to make sure that you’re as healthy as possible. One of the most important things to remember is that there is more than one way to be healthy. Taking care of your physical health is important but it’s also important to pay attention to your financial health. That might seem odd but the truth is that these things intersect a lot more often than you might expect. With that in mind, here are just a few of the places where your physical health and your financial health can meet.

Legal support

The reality of certain health conditions, particularly those that exist in the long term, is that they can oftend end up causing a certain degree of legal difficulty for some people. This is especially common for those with long-term disabilities trying to find work or get the support that they need from employers. Of course, the last thing you want is to end up buried in LTD lawyer fees while trying to navigate these various legal challenges. This is why it’s so important to make sure that you’re reaching out to the right lawyers who can actually help and support you and not just leave you in a bigger financial mess than you were to begin with. Finding the right support is always important but the last thing you want is to end up in position where things are even worse.

Insurance

Health insurance is one of those things that most people would dearly love to not have to deal with if they could avoid it. However, there’s no denying that it’s better to have it than not. If you don’t have insurance you could end up in serious trouble trying to pay medical bills. The best thing that you can do is to make sure that you’re always keeping on top of your finances well enough that you’re not going to fall into a position where you can’t afford your payments.

Stress

The reality of the modern world is that money is always going to be something that we all worry about but that worry can end up having a pretty marked impact on your overall health. Stress is a common cause of a lot of physical ailments ranging from hair loss to insomnia to even serious things like stomach ulcers. And that’s not even mentioning the impact it can have on your mental health as well.

Of course, there are plenty of other ways in which your health interacts with different areas of your life. From your job to your relationships to your lifestyle, you need to understand that everything you do has an impact on how you feel and how positive your life is as a whole. Living holistically isn’t always easy but it is always a positive choice.

Interesting, Christine. I hadn’t thought much of the intersection of health and finances, but both can have a significant impact on the other–and both deserve our attention. Thanks for the reminder.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
