There is no doubt I am getting older.
The calendar reminds me daily.
Some everyday activities are becoming challenging.
I was making chicken salad over the weekend and found it impossible to open a jar of pickles! Sadly, I had to alter the recipe. Until I ordered one of these beauties, which has made life so much easier!
Next, how many times have you had trouble reaching items that are on a high shelf? Or stood on a chair to grab a can from the cabinet?
Don’t do it! Not only can you fall of an unsteady chair, but you risk knocking off other items as well. Instead, get yourself a Reacher grabber tool to help reach those hard-to-reach items!
This handy gadget has an ergonomic design made with stainless steel and plastic parts, allowing it to pick up objects that are large or small. It can also be used for retrieving dropped items.
Don’t risk broken bones!
Finally, I invested in a sturdy step stool. It is safer and, if you keep in handy, easy to use when you simply must reach a high place. With that and some good old fashioned caution, I’m hoping to cut down on any injuries!
What about you? What items have you found to be essential as you age and seek to maintain your independence?
