Cutting Down On Simple Lifestyle Costs

It’s important to cut your costs once in a while, if only to make sure you’re not paying over the odds for something. Many of us have come to our accounts only to realize that we have many more subscriptions for services we rarely use, perhaps a gym membership that has gone unattended to since last year.

Furthermore, it can sometimes be that we get too carried away with purchasing a certain brand or type of product that we forget there could be better options out there, perhaps not even options that save you money, but grant you a higher quality product for a nominal difference. In 2021, as a result of 2020, it’s also important to consider how any kind of renewed financial care can usually pay dividends in the long run, if only to help you spend on things that really matter.

Take care of the pennies, and you’ll take care of the dollars, they say. So, let’s see exactly how we can cut down on simple lifestyle costs without having to ‘go without.’

Shop Off-Brand

Shopping off-brand is usually a fantastic way to gain pretty much the same product for less money. You might find, for example, that using off-brand cereal each morning is largely the same, and may even be half the cost. Have you really ‘lost out’ in that regard? The same goes for smaller household essentials. The kind of anti-bacterial spray you use to clean your kitchen doesn’t really matter, provided it kills 99.99% of germs and has a relatively pleasant and clean smell. The savings you can make in this regard can make a massive difference.

Use Cashback Services

Cashback services are essential to consider. Magazine cashback tools, for instance, can help you enjoy reading a range of topics that you usually enjoy, without having to pay over the odds for a worthwhile subscription. Some cashback services can also help you spot a good deal from the offset, curating exactly what services and products might be most appropriate for you, not those you’d pck up on a whim. If anything, cashback can help you collect and curate some savings over time, which can help you stretch your money even further – that’s important at a time like this.

Apply Coupon Codes

Applying coupon codes at checkout can be useful. There are many tools that can help you apply them automatically, so you can avoid the painful effort of having to hunt. Furthermore, coupon codes can often be given by companies looking to promote their brands, perhaps through email newsletters, perhaps for sign-on bonuses, and more. Keeping that in mind can be very helpful and reliable in the long run. Coupon codes can also provide you the means of doubling up on purchases, or bulk buying, or deciding to choose one brand over another. Don’t be afraid to use them or to wait for sales or to apply discounts to products you’re waiting to come back in stock. Every effort can help.

With this advice, we hope you can more easily cut down on lifestyle costs, through and through.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
