Why do I carry a copy of the constitution in my purse?
This is why.
This is why:
* More than one in three people (37%) could not name a single right protected by the First Amendment. THE FIRST AMENDMENT.
* Only one in four (26%) can name all three branches of the government….
* One in three (33%) can’t name any branch of government. None. Not even one.

I am deeply afraid for this country.
Our young adults think socialism is cool.
They think the government “gives” them rights. This is a fundamental lack of understanding of the brilliance of a document that seeks to protect us from government interference. Our rights come from our Creator. Not the government. A government of men must always be restrained.
A generation that does not understand the Electoral College wants to abolish it. The ignorance in society simply must be addressed.
Do something about it!
Hillsdale College offers a free course on the Constitution. Watch it as a family: https://lp.hillsdale.edu/con-101/
Spend a buck and get a pocket constitution from Heritage.org: https://shop.heritage.org/products/pocket-constitution
Buy a couple copies and read it with friends. It would make some interesting discussion!
Prefer a more tech oriented way to learn about our fundamental freedoms? This article presents several options: https://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2010/08/10/the-best-sites-for-learning-about-the-constitution-of-the-united-states/
If we remain ignorant and do not address constitution ignorance in our young people, we are only a few generations away from seeing the brilliance of America dissipated.
