Building A Better Relationship With Your Family Home

Spread the love

Home is where the heart is, and you deserve to live in a property that you can fall in love with again and again. To make this happen, though, you will be required to make a conscious effort. The first step en route to success is to establish a winning plan of action. While there are many contributing factors to consider, the following five will make the biggest impact.

Organization

A clean home is a happy home. Not only will it reduce the likelihood of picking up illnesses, but it’ll also prevent claustrophobic vibes. Pay attention to the messiest parts of the home and use this as a platform to build upon. Your relationship with each room should improve. This is also the perfect time to complete a decluttering session and think about the possibility of selling items at a garage sale. It’ll free up extra space while also generating some extra money. Which leads us onto the next focal point…

Finances

It’s hard to feel any enthusiasm for the home when it is leading you into debt. Remortgaging might be the perfect way to reduce the stress, and itin mortgages are certainly worth looking at. It is a path that many homeowners aren’t even aware of. Take your success to the next level by analyzing your bills. You can trim the fat by reducing your broadband package or changing energy suppliers. When you spend less money on those items, you’ll be able to purchase more home comforts. Or you could just boost savings.

Security

The family home should leave your family feeling protected at all times. In today’s climate, investing in the best security features is vital. Surveillance cameras are a key addition while an effective alarm system should deter burglars too. Motion detecting lighting is another positive investment. When the doors and windows are equipped with high-quality locks too, the home will feel safer than ever. In turn, you should be able to relax in style, which can only boost your love of the property.

Unity

Modern tech devices can keep us entertained for hours, but they won’t always support the idea of spending time together as a family. Therefore, you should think about building a home cinema or creating a space for interactive gaming through VR headsets. Whether it’s watching a film or shooting baddies, home entertainment is best enjoyed with your loved ones. The living room is for living. Making it the focal point of activity is far smarter than being locked away in your bedrooms.

Function

While we’d all love to spend a lifetime playing games and enjoying garden BBQs, maintaining the home takes a lot of work. Using the latest appliances to take care of those chores will make life far easier. Meanwhile, it’s imperative that the property is tailored to your requirements. This could mean making upgrades to encourage greater accessibility. Or it might mean designating an office space so that you can work from home. Either way, personalizing the property to suit your unique needs will change everything.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
