Have you ever thought about getting involved in creativity… only to be daunted by the fact that you feel you don’t have enough talent or resources?
Well, don’t let those thoughts influence your artistic pathway, which right now, … by reading this article… is opening up a whole new world in you.
Art in its many forms and guises means you can take beautiful things into your world, create something, and then give that back to the world through whatever you produce, be that painting, writing, poetry, music, woodwork, or whatever methods you choose.
You can help the world to see that beauty, or depth, through your own creative expression.
Connecting your heart to the physical world around you means that you immediately see all sorts of beautiful things, places, nature, even just the air or sky becomes a study in your creative mind.
The sky is always there, all you have to do is soak it in, appreciate its changing hues.
Taking time with even a plant or tree beside your own home… as an artist you will soon hear beautiful swaying rustling messages from the branches and sparkling colours from the sun.
Even the raindrops… what beauty they hold on a leaf as they dangle precariously, undecided whether to stay, or drop down.!
A bit like us humans!!
Once you set your mind to opening yourself to creativity, you will find that opportunities will arise.
It’s not about results perfection or proving yourself, it’s an exploration just for you to express yourself, or to engage with pure joy.
The type of pure joy you can experience in many forms of art happens through the process of creating the art.
When your mind, body and soul become immersed in what you are doing, you completely forget time, and all worries, for those moments. While creating a painting, a poem, or anything else, there is no such thing as an a long day or a lonely moment.
It teaches you that it’s possible to experience a wonderful life just within yourself.
Anyone who takes up any form of creativity will not regret it.
I began learning to paint with oils a few years ago, and while I felt trepidation and almost fear in that first class, it’s the magic of creativity that draws you in. The possibilities, the learning, the experiencing of yourself as a completely different person while creating.
And … if the first thing you try doesn’t work for you … don’t give up… keep trying out different ways until you find the perfect place for you.
It has changed my days. And it can change yours too.
