7 Terrific Touch-Ups For a Pristine Home

June 9, 2023 By Christine Field

You have always had perfectionist tendencies especially when it comes to taking care of your home. Taking care of your children admittedly fills up most of your day, but when you get a spare moment you love to touch up your home. When everything looks pristine and perfect in your home it makes you feel truly at ease and happy. Keeping your home in top condition is something that you will always try and prioritize, because it makes your life more calm and satisfying. Staying on top of all of these small but mighty jobs will instantly give your home the uplift it deserves. If you’re unsure where to begin, here are a handful of terrific touch ups to get you started.

  1. New Windows or Patio Doors

If you are looking for a touch-up that makes both the inside and outside of your home look impeccable, you may want to consider new windows. Perhaps you’re experiencing droughts throughout the winter, or the style of your windows isn’t as modern as you would like them to be, there are so many reasons to consider new windows for your home. Seek out help from a company such as Augusta Window and you will soon be able to pick out a style that suits the overall aesthetic of your home. Energy efficiency is also another excellent reason to invest in new windows for your home. As well as reducing the overall costs of your energy bills, they will also contribute to a more pristine home. If you aren’t quite ready to invest in all new windows, you may want to consider new patio doors instead. This is a worthwhile idea if you’re hoping to redo your garden or get a landscaper in to tidy up the overall look of your backyard.

  • Paint Touch-Ups Around Your Home

Are there certain areas around your home that are littered with chipped paint and fading decor? This is completely normal when it comes to day to day wear and tear in and around your home, but it can be unsightly and ruin the pristine vibe that you are aiming for. If this sounds like something that is happening right now in your home, it’s time to dig out the paintbrush and do some much-needed touch-ups around your home. Whether your doors need a lick of white paint or your lounge area needs freshening up, you can instantly improve the way your home looks throughout with just a little touch of paint.

  • Beautiful Bedding

This is a small but oh-so important detail when it comes to creating a pristine home. Your bedroom is a sanctuary that should feel luxurious and welcoming from the moment you step inside. Investing in 100% cotton sheets will not only give you the best night of sleep possible, but it will also make your bedroom feel extra sophisticated.

  • Candles and Sumptuous Scents

There is something extremely appealing about a delicious smelling home that is full of amazing aromas that linger around as you walk through. In many cases, you can simply go online and discover your favorite candle brands. However, you may want to do your scent shopping in person and try some of the delicious smells out for yourself. Whether you use divine diffusers or opulent candles from a fancy store, there are so many ways to create alluring aromas throughout your home.

  • Declutter and Go Minimalistic

Opting to go minimalistic in your home and get rid of your unwanted stuff, will serve you extremely well in the long run. Not only will it clear out some space in your home, but it will also leave ample room for you to get creative and make some changes. The minimalist look in terms of interior design is very on trend, and for many good reasons. Minimalism helps you get more creative with your interior design choices and it accentuates the space you have in your home.

  • Kitchen Clean Up and Organization

The kitchen in your home is probably one of the busiest rooms in your entire household, which can mean that it gets through a lot of wear and tear each day. Cleaning up your kitchen in an extremely thorough way can help you to create the pristine look you are hoping to achieve. Similarly, you may also want to take things one step further by organizing your kitchen cupboards, refrigerator and drawers. As soon as you have got every single corner of your kitchen organized, this area of your home will begin to exude true style and delight.

  • Lovely Landscaping Outdoors

Your backyard is somewhere that you and your loved ones enjoy spending a lot of time, so it may need a little touch up to bring it up to your high standards. You could start by researching some of the top landscaping trends for this year. As soon as you have decided what type of landscaping look you are going for outside, you will be able to make the changes happen sooner rather than later. Whether you hire some external help to clean up your garden area, or you get stuck into a project by yourself, this will ultimately contribute to a well kept and pristine garden.

Your home is always going to be a place that makes you feel happy, proud and truly at ease. You always want your family and children to feel comfortable there, which is why you tend to take so much pride in your space. Doing these small, simple and easy touch ups will not only help to keep your home looking beautiful, fresh and pristine, but it will also help you to feel your happiest self. Hopefully, these ideas will get you started with regards to touching up your home. You don’t need to make huge and extravagant changes to make a big difference to the overall aesthetic of your home.

All in all, enjoy the process of making these small but mighty touch ups in and around your home. The final results will have you beaming with pride!

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
