Ultimately, this should be your top priority when you decide to transform your home. Of course, you need to consider other factors, such as cost, purpose, practicality, and space.

But how your decor makes you feel should also play a significant role in the final decision.

However, for a lot of households, happy decor tips tend to include time and money-consuming ideas, such as repainting a room in a bright color or replacing your old sofa with a new and exciting model. Can you genuinely justify it to yourself to dedicate an entire weekend repainting the living room because you feel a little gloomy? Besides, it’s always a lot more than just a paint job. Once you’ve changed the walls, the rest of the room might begin to stand out awkwardly, and you realize with horror that nothing goes together anymore. Indeed, you can’t just decide to change your interior overnight! But if you want to boost your mood without breaking the bank, three simple additions will put a smile on your face – without affecting your interior style.

Storage solutions to fight off the mess

Human beings can create fantastic things. We’ve invented machines that can fly in the air. We have the science to repair and transform the body. We can be seen and heard on the other side of the planet without leaving the comfort of our homes. But despite all of the inventions, there are still things we can’t entirely control, and our cluttering habit is one of those! As soon as you spend a few minutes in a room, clutter appears and accumulates all around you. You might be used to it, but its presence increases your stress levels. Something as simple as finding storage solutions – such as your standard magazine holder, for instance – can completely transform your perception of the space. Breathe in, relax, and put the remote control in the box you’ve bought for your gadgets. That’s it; bliss at last.

Indoor plant growing kit for happy green feeling

Nothing says vibrant interior like a few houseplants. However, if your plants are starting to look old and tired, you can revive them with an LED grow light bulb, which virtually acts as a sun inside your home. Helping your plants to grow and bloom can add a lively and energetic touch to your decor. The world doesn’t look gloomy anymore when you surround yourself with greens.

A smart fruit bowl that takes your mind off candy bars

What do fruits have to do with your mood? Who craves fruits anyway? Cravings, as we all know, are about chocolate biscuits, cinnamon muffins, and cheesy chips, less about bananas and apples. The only problem with fat and sugar-loaded cravings is that they gradually affect your mood for the worse. A fresh fruit display is appealing to look at. Unfortunately, most people struggle to keep their fruits looking fresh and appetizing. Bringing a smart bowl that protects your ripe fruits into the kitchen changes everything. Not only does that apple/orange/banana look delicious, but its natural vitamins are going to lift your mood instantly.

Creating a happy interior that doesn’t clash with your existing style is not that difficult. You need to focus your attention on the little things that can influence your mood. More importantly, you can beat interior designers to it; you’ve got a happy household without breaking the bank on expensive art pieces and gadgets.

Hi, I’m Christine

Have you been a wholehearted mother, but time, toddlers and teenagers have moved on? If you are wondering what comes next for you, you’ll feel right at home here.

Or, are you a mom for whom family life has been non-Pinworthy and parenting has been downright painful? I hear ya. There are many of us around.

Are you looking for a life full of exploration and adventure after the nest empties, but maybe you have no idea how to go about doing that? Stick around! We’ll explore adventures together to help you gain more clarity for your own path.

After a couple decades of writing books and articles about parenting, homeschooling and adoption, speaking to homeschoolers and other parent groups, and reaching out to the mom in the trenches who was trying to make the best of it - my kids grew up. Some grew up and grew away. I was determined to find a way out of the pain, emptiness and lack of direction.

For many of us, the journey starts with something we moms are not accustomed to. After years of caring for and serving others, sometimes we forget the beauty and wonder of US. We need to spend some time getting to know the parts of ourselves that have lain dormant, and take the time to explore interests and passions that we set aside.

I’d like to invite you to get the “What’s Next for Mom” workbook and jump into this growing tribe of Moms who are emptying the nest and filling the life! Let’s reignite your Mojo after Mothering!
