I would never win homemaker-of-the-year awards. It is an area I struggle with. My life is pretty non-Pinworthy.
But I try. I like to attempt crafts and budget restraints compel me to learn how to do a lot of things myself around the house rather than hiring them out.
I love to learn! I’ll share my triumphs and disasters here.
Easy simple cooking: If you multiply three meals a day by the number of years you have been parenting, the number is astronomical. I’m always looking for easy, simple ways to make it easier and fun.
Home organizing: This is another idea that challenges me. But I persist, try, experiment and read a lot of ideas that people have.
Crafts for the Un-Crafty: I do love making things, but I’m not very good at it. I’ll share my successes and disasters here.
DIY home: When the mood strikes me, I love painting rooms, playing with colors and moving things around. In the process I learn a thing or two.
Saving money: Going from two incomes to one was a challenge back in the day when I did it. It’s even harder now. Being a good steward of money never goes out of style.
Homemaking: While I lack talent in many practical areas, I place a high value on making my house a home.
