Becoming a parent and raising a family have been the great adventures of my lifetime! I never thought I would have kids and the Lord has blessed me with four – 3 lovely daughters and 1 handsome son. (I’m not prejudiced. They are all gorgeous.) In this section, I share resources and reassurances in these areas:
Child Adoption: Three of our 4 kids are adopted- one in the US and two from Korea. I’ve also assisted families in adoption in my law practice. In this area, you’ll find information for your head and encouragement for your heart.
Special Needs: In our parenting/learning journey, we have dealt with learning issues – ADHD and learning disabilities. Raising and homeschooling these kiddos has taught me a LOT. Are you dealing with a challenging child and trying to figure out what’s going on? Start here.
Homeschool: We were blessed to be able to homeschool the first two kids through high school, and the second two through middle school. (They entered school the year my husband was diagnosed with cancer.) I share an interesting perspective – having been on both sides of this issue.
Life Skills: I was raising kids who could read any book in the library, but who didn’t know how to wash dishes. This bothered me. So I came up with life skills that I thought kids should learn before adulthood.
Activities for Kids: When my kids reminisce about their childhoods, they remember lots of fun things – like washing the kitchen floor in their bathing suits or trying to climb the refrigerator with magnets on their feet. Childhood is a short, sweet season. Here I share fun activities to do with kids to make some good memories.
